Information Design

Information Design

Terrain’s capabilities span across Branding and Information Design. While Branding covers Identity Development, Brand Positioning, Visual and Naming Strategy; we use the term Information Design to loosely cover a wide spectrum of craft which includes Websites, Interactive Applications, Signage & Wayfinding, Publications and other printed collaterals.

Analysis of Atmosphere magazine issue 00 (Japan)

Often times we analyse and dissect existing print publications in order to familiarize ourselves with various formats and quantities of information or conceptualize a translation of the information from print to web. A thorough cross-section of Atmosphere magazine (Japan) issue 00 from 2002 (photographed above) gives possible indications on how large amounts of text and images can be organized for a website using a common CMS (WordPress, Tumblr) framework.

Launch

Welcome to our new website. This will serve as a temporary platform for our studio to archive the work and developments for the current year. At the moment we are busy with a number of challenging print and interactive projects for both local and international clients. The site will be updated irregularly with completed work and documentation as projects are completed.

For now, our current list of projects can be viewed in our Works section while our Filter allows users to browse our work by title, images, date and tags.

The site is based on a customized Cargo template which was designed by Terrain and skillfully coded by the talented Jon Kyle. The main page makes use of a Paper.js animation which was developed based on forms created by Studio Juju.
